30 Day Challenge

The challenge I want to do is chatting with person I have never seen. One of the reason I choose is that I think that I can get new thinking, ideas, and motivations by chatting with the person. It is natural for each person to have each thinking. Therefore, there are no person who is similar to your thinking completely.

I always give up new challenge. Probably, I tend to make a big challenge. For example, it is memorizing 100 English words I don’t know. According to TED talk I listened to today’s lesson, small change is better.

I may get good social skills, become more talkative.

30-day challenge (Aina Saito)

I would like to talk about my 30 days challenge.

When I was high school student, I tried not to use Instagram. I had to study hard because I had a big exam. Instagram is very good for me to get information and enjoy photos of my friends. However, sometimes Instagram has bad effects for me. While studying something, Instagram is on my mind. Even though I have to study hard. So, I decided not to use Instagram, when I was 18. I felt it was very hard for me firstly.  But I could keep trying and get time to study.
Next time, I would like to try another 30 days challenge. For example, not to eat snacks, studying English, running and so on.
I think 30 days challenge makes us better. Everyone should try the 30 days challenge!!

Graduate Exhibition 2019

My favorite project is OFF THE BEATEN TRACK designed by Rata Scott von Tippelskirch. Actually, I do not know the purpose of this project, but I was intuitively attracted to this house. I really like the big windows, the house surrounded by nature, the fireplace and the solar panels with this design. This design is probably for a house to be built in the mountains, and I think this will be very helpful in taking advantage of New Zealand's open space. If I become a grandmqa, I would like to live in such a house as a second home to enjoy the leisure of life!

My favourite work of Art ( On the Cusp by Thomas Kenny )

On the Cusp

On the Cusp is the name of this project designed by one of a graduates from Design and Architecture program Thomas Kenny. Mr Kenny used a CAD (Computer Aided Design) to create this spectacular images. In the present days, this program or CAD is widely utilised by architects or designers, it is faster and only require computer while in the olden days architects used pencil and paper and it was  time consuming .

The designer created this designed buildings for a home where it can accommodate a family whether a nuclear or an extended family and it can be used as a motel.

For me, it is a good quality design, as we can see one of the buildings is open which allows good ventilation or free movement of air in and out of the building. Secondly, another building is elevated above the ground level, this kind of design addresses issues related with flooding or sea level rising and finally most of the room and the area are spacious.

Fortunately this kind of sketch is suitable everywhere in the world especially Dunedin because it is not designed only for the purpose of providing roof over our heads but also ensure the healthy environment to the occupants and most importantly anticipate for future disasters.

Shutaro

My favourite project is "Ti Kouka". This structure is made of woods and is situated on slope. In addition, it has many windows to get in natural rays. Therefore, I think this building has concept for nature and natural.

The person who designed it is Venus Wyatt. He built the building to resolve the damaged relationship between humans and nature within the suburban environment. If I describe this building, I say they are comfortable, relaxing and natural.

Finally, it contributes to making Dunedin a more liveable place because it is the best house for the person who prefer nature and wood building to modern buildings like me. Therefore, if Dunedin appeals those buildings, someone who like nature will get motivated to move Dunedin.

Graduate Exhibition 2019

I choose this building. This is lecture building in school. There are some reasons I like this.

Firstly, this building makes the student comfortable when they study. I think that it is important to study comfortable place. That is why they cannot focus on studying if it is noisy, strange room.

Secondly, there are many spaces they chat with each other. One of the meaning we go to school is that we have social skills. Therefore, it is not good for them to just study. In this building, there are many space. In conclusion, they should have the skills.
