Shutaro
My hometown is
Osaka that is situated in west Japan. If you do something like “talk to me
London”, I’m sure that it will not be success. This is because Japanese are too
shy to talk to strangers and not talkative, so we usually don’t speak to people
sitting next seat in a train.
However, I think
it is the best idea to make the society frank and open. Japan is famous country
for people who are shy, but Japan needs to be more friendly because Japan has Tokyo
Olympic. Therefore, many tourists will come to Japan for Olympic. Osaka will
get some tourists, so I think Osaka needs “talk to me Osaka” to guide city or
make friends. Osaka is bigger than Dunedin, so I think foreign people will
probably lose their ways and it is difficult for them to make Japanese friends.
These are reasons why I thought Osaka needs “talk to me Osaka”.
Do you think Japanese are shy because of their respects to other people?
ReplyDeleteI appreciate my Japanese friend Mayu has actively say hello to me on our first orientation day and so we had a chance to become friend. She is not a talkative girl but she did it, that's what I should learn from and very appreciate for.
ReplyDeleteThat the good point Shutaro and thank you for reminding us of the Olympic next year. For me shyness is not a bad thing, in my opinion shyness is politeness. Yesterday we were talking about Japan and culture, one of my friends mentioned that Japanese are the most elegant people. So I think it is good to share with you, so you know that you Japaneses have your admirers.
