Airport Regulations

It is a global standard procedure to have rules and regulations in Airports. Some of them are strictly for the interest of safety and protocols have to be followed and are often deemed non negotiable especially the security checks with the metal detectors. I personally think going through airport security checks is very important especially for our safety even though some of the security officers may seem unfriendly but, we have to understand that they are just doing their jobs. I heard that they were trained not to smile and to put on a serious look on their face. How fascinating! Wouldn't it be hilarious to attempt to crack a joke with one of them and see whether they share your amusement.

While I feel it is necessary for us to be obliged to these regulations, I sometimes question why some things are permitted only at approved amounts on board the aircraft. For instance, you are only allowed no more than 2 litres of duty free alcohol or not more than 100 mls of perfume. I think this does not pose any threat to the aircraft which is what most people think. I would probably believe that the reason for this regulation was for customs and tax purposes for the country you are entering into. However, if this is not so, then personally I think this regulation is unnecessary and should be changed.
