Nanami Omori

I grow up in Japan, therefore, I want to explain about how English is taught in Japan. It is rarely to meet other nationality people in Japan. So, we don’t have opportunities to speak English so much. I think that it makes difficult to learn English for Japanese.

Many Japanese start learning English from junior high schools.  We start leaning from to alphabets. I learned with using “ABC song.”  Is this used in your country?  After this, we start leaning vocabularies and grammars. Japanese spend a lot of time to learn grammar. I think we have to learn speaking English more.

Also, many students learn it by Japanese teachers. Additionally, some of them can’t speak English frequently. Luckily, I can learn about speaking English from native speakers in my high school. But, it is only one time in a week, so, it is not enough for me. Therefore, I think that Japanese English education systems have to change.  How about your country’s English education systems? I  interested in it!

  3. Yes, we have the ABC song in China too! And we also used to work hard on grammar in school, but it was totally not efficient!
