English in my country

In my country, which is Japan, we used to start learning English from secondary school but it’s been changed recently to from elementary. English is taught in Japanese and we don’t get a lot of chances to speak in English in classes.
We learn English to get higher score at exams and not to get another communication tool, so English isn’t used so much in our daily life. Just when we are forced to use.

  2. From what I can see, I agree with you that English is not used much in Japan. It's very difficult for me to understand the transport signposts in your country because they are always in Japanese :)
