English in Japan is always for the exam. It's an entrance exam to enroll in University and TOEIC. The Japanese focus on grammar, writing, and reading. Many Japanese think English is for passing the exam and getting a promotion. If I have English skills, I can go to a great University and rise a rank in the company in Japan. Therefore, it's said that many Japanese can't speak it because don't often practice speaking. However, English is a language. Therefore, I think I need to practice it more to tell someone what I want to do. Besides, English's worth is speaking and tell people minds, thinkings. Nowadays, the world is globalizing. We have to speak it to live on this planet.
I have a good chance to practice speaking it after I came here. So I want to practice it more actively.
