I am Japanese. I will describe a positive point and a negative
point in my blog. Many people think
English education in Japan should be changed. Therefore, it is hard for me to
find a good point.
The positive point of English education in Japan is teachers
give us much knowledge. So, we write down what teachers say during the classes
and get many information. I think giving many information has not only good
points but also a bad points. We need to
express our skills to others.
The negative point is focusing on reading and writing. Therefore,
many Japanese people are not good at speaking English. Almost all the time we
listen to what teachers say. We rarely do not speak English ourselves in
classes. Also, we do not enough opportunities to communicate with native speakers.
A school has only two or three native speakers.
Japanese people learn English because English is a necessary
language. Japan has a problems with the declining birth rate and aging
population. Therefore, Japan lacks worker and many foreigner come to Japan and
have a job. The people learn Japanese. However, I think it is easier to
communicate with them in English because many people know English. So, we learn
English to communicate with more people in English.
Japan do not have many food points for English education. So,
the system of English education should be changed.
I strongly agree with the idea. I think the educational system should be changed

ReplyDeleteEnglish has become only a main course for students' education. Even though people knows much basic knowledge, their listening and speaking are usually poor. This is also my major problem. Try to speak English more.
