A favourite historical film (Pride and Prejudice)

Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice is a romance film based on a fiction novel written by Jane Austen in 1813. The film was shot in England and released in 2005, the film was nominated and won several awards but the main award was Empire Awards for the best British Film.

The movie is about the Bennet family who consist of Mr and Mrs Bennet and their 5 single daughters and also tells the story on how the anxious Mrs Bennet  wanted to marry off all her daughters to rich bachelors, these bachelors are Mr Charles Bingley and his friend Mr William Darcy. The 5 daughters have different attitudes, but the wisest of them and also straightforward  was the second born daughter called Elizabeth Bennet. Elizabeth Bennet is smart, strong and she is her father's daughter. (My favourite character in this movie)

My favourite scene is the last part of the movie when Mr William Darcy proposed to Ms Elizabeth Bennet and was turned down which took him by surprise, not believing that he had been rejected.
I like this part of the movie because even though Mr Darcy was the most admired bachelor for his look and extreme wealth, Ms Bennet did not fall for him. She is a woman of principle, she want to marry a man that she loves and vice versa. However at the very end of the movie, Mr Darcy managed to convince Ms Bennet by showing his good intention toward her, his care for her and her family and that changed Ms Bennet, she finally realized that Mr Darcy really loves and cares for her and the two fell deeply in love with each other.

In my opinion, these two characters (Mr Darcy and Miss Bennet) almost lost their love of their lives because they both made mistakes. Miss Bennet made a quick judgement on him and  Mr Darcy did not show well his intention or feeling toward Miss Bennet. They almost lost each other, fortunately they didn't and as an audience, the movie makes me very happy.
