Airline Safety Regulations I’d Like To See Changed

Nowadays, security is definitely something that has evolved throughout the years. No doubt that people going in and out of a country demands constant security and guarding. Personally, I believe that the security system is very beneficial but is also becoming too strict. So, there are multiple reasons why I believe that some security regulations should be changed or improved.

What I’m not very keen of is that in most airports, we have to go through so many checkups and it’s super irritating. Most of the time, I’ll have to take my shoes off, get out any electronic device off my backpack, make sure I have no metallic object or accessory on me and more. Also, banning any liquids over 100 ml in carry-on bags that aren’t bought from the duty-free shops specifically juices or water is something that is still confusing and absurd to me. In addition, some airports prohibit certain foods from being carried with the passengers and from entering their countries without any justification. Although these airline safety regulations are put up to prevent danger or exposure to criminal threats and attacks, I find it unnecessary for them to check up on every individual especially the elderly as it is already hard for them to travel abroad most of the time.

All in all, I believe that some airline safety regulations should be changed as they have no evidence or justification as to why they ban certain things at the airport or country. Secondly, it would be better if they lessen the regulations up for kids and older people because it can become exhausting and physically draining for them.

  1. I had a similar experience going to Australia from Vanuatu. I just bought a 600mls bottle of water to drink at one of the duty free shops in the departure lounge. Just before we were ready to board, I was told not take it with me into the plane...seriously??..can water actually be more of a threat and dangerous than a duty free alcohol???..You are correct. It is absolutely absurd!
